Foodless Food at Charm City Fringe Festival

322 N Howard St, Baltimore, MD 21201-3610, United States Map

Recent research has shown that 1 in 4 Baltimore City residents live in a food desert. Yes, really!! But what is a food desert? What is it like to be confined to one? What can you do to help? One way is to attend this show. FIFTY PERCENT of BlueShift’s proceeds will be donated to Boone Street Farm. Come help your city, and get some free food while you’re at it!

Wed Nov 8th 7PM - Sun Nov 12th 1PM

THEM at Charm City Fringe Festival

The Downtown Cultural Arts Center
401 N Howard St
Baltimore, MD  21201 Map

THEM explores gender and identity through poetry and movement. Members of Nine Dollar Bill Theatre have used Ovid’s Metamorphoses, an epic of mythical transformations, to share the stories of Gender Non-Conforming characters. THEM questions how we hold on to a sense of self when our bodies can’t hold shape.

3rd Annual Folk N Camping Trip

Fri Aug 10th 12PM - Sun Aug 12th 11AM

3rd Annual Folk N' Camping Trip

Group Campsite G6 Green Ridge State Forrest Little Orleans MD Map

Getting a headstart on planning the 2018 Folk N Camping Trip
Looking for people to help organize/promote this trip - Looking for individuals from different states to promote in their area.

The Folk N Camping Trip is a gathering of musicians and music lovers in Green Ridge State Forrest. We will be booking artists to perform friday and saturday night from about 6pm to 11 pm = The rest of the time will be filled with open jams, cooking, stargazing, swimming, and just hanging out and networking. The genre is geared more towards folk music, but all are welcome.

We plan the event on the new moon every year, so the sky is amazing!! (see event photo)
there is no elecricity or running water- so please come prepared
we do rent a porta potty

10$ for the entire weekend - (sorry no partial tickets sold- if you can only come friday or saturday it will still be 10$)
We keep the costs low - to just cover the porta potty and the camp site - the campsite is cheap but the porta potty is pricey - if we end up with extra money we will either end up getting a second porta potty if we think we need it - or put the extra cash towards fire wood, a group meal - or booze

DIRECTIONS TO THE CAMPSITE
The Campsite is lot #G6 in Green Ridge State Forest. If you have been to Green Ridge before it is the large lot with the pavillion a little further back in the woods passed the overlook on Carroll RD.

The site is huge, we have had over 50 people there before.

There isn’t an exact address, but finding it is not difficult

For those of you with GPS here are the coordinates:

39°37'25.0"N 78°26'05.7"W

39.623618, -78.434916

Depending on the type of GPS you have you will either use one set or the other.

DO NOT DEPEND ON YOUR CELL PHONE GPS - SIGNALS DROP OUT THERE!!

If you do not have a GPS use google maps and print out directions

From Baltimore:

Take I-70 west to I - 68 WEST

TAKE EXIT 68 for ORLEANS RD
